Apropos my praise of your Sturmgeschütz III: this is definitely the weathered look.

Talk about yer fixer-upper!
Fascinating work these groups are doing. Do they find hulks by following up on old wartime reports or is it through metal detectorists(great tv series) or anglers/scuba divers?
Mike.

Re: Recovery Team Czarna Nida 2023 - Panzer Farm
In January 1945 there was a huge tank battle there. Many tanks were buried in the swamps during the German retreat. Most of the wrecks were taken away after the war (they ended up in steelworks). Whatever was sticking out of the water was taken by scrap metal scrappers.

Thank you for posting these remarkable pictures, Kaczor. Did you have the opportunity to see this recovery yourself? Do you know if any of this sort of relic has parts that might contribute to another restoration?

Unfortunately, it is on the other side of the country But I have been to the Panzer Farm headquarters several times. They have many such wrecks, but reconstruction (as usual) takes time, money and even more money. They are rebuilding, somewhat secretly, the Tiger I to a running condition. (!)
