pristine pretty ..........................
No, your dead right about that !!
These things being white are often mud-cam'd by what appears to be mud/sand wet and rubbed on by hand or suchlike over the paint to cut down its gleaming signature.
I've done the same thing by mixing up a poultice of Syrian Ground Mig 3025 pigment, and diluted PVA glue.
Thinned into a wash and applied with a small bit of cloth held in tweezers. Wiped like a 16th man/men might at arms length to cover up the white.
I also haven't seen any pics of bullet damage on these things unless the thing is completely torn to pieces!
Seems there's no in-between condition.
My wife fair 'd herself when she saw what I had done to the mint little Hilux

Re: UNLOVED BUT EFFECTIVE- SYRIAN 'FURY'
Through a fluke, I managed to get hold of some 'just-right' looking cloth to make some bed rolls/mattresses out of.
Made 2 for the Hilux and one more for the T72.
Found a large pot that could pass as a Dallah.
Plain but near enough. I assume that the form of a coffee pot did not matter as long as its function was up there !!
Going to call this now until a crew can be conjured up

I don't know about the Syrians, Bix, but the idea of an empty Pepsi bottle on the dash seems spot on. Here in the US, there would likely be all kinds of junk and paperwork on the dash. Fortunately (so far) here I have not seen a Ford F-150, Chevy 1500, or (Dodge) Ram technical with an MG. Yikes!

Re: UNLOVED BUT EFFECTIVE- SYRIAN 'FURY'
Oh dear: having one's US plumbing business advertised on the door of a Syrian Islamic fighter's "Technical" would, indeed, cause concern among customers.
Here's the background. On 15 December 2015, The New York Times (Sec. A; 17) explained that Mark Oberholtzer of Galveston County, Texas, has sued a car dealer. Apparently he sold or traded to the car dealer his business pickup truck with his business name on the doors: "Mark-1 Plumbing." Pictures of his truck showed up on the web as it was being used by Islamists in Syria.

Surely there's no such thing as bad publicity. Everyone knows where to find a plumber now!
Both the technical and T-72 look great Herman, there are lots of really impressive touches. I especially like the freehanded Arabic slogans and that gigantic KPV. What's still on the to-do list?

Excellent finish sir. There ya go raising the bar. Now we're creating full on accompanying models not just random bricks, guns, sandbags or figures... Sigh...

I have a couple of folding stock AKs on the way from BNA but they are not as crisp as your ones. I just needed older versions with the long barrel.
BNA also have a couple of figures available that might go with the theme, but thats still undecided.
In the perfect world I would hang civilian backpacks off the sides, and load the tray with empty cartridge cases, but thats a long reach.
Hope to bring them both to life with figures and a suitable setting they can sit on.

Appreciate the kudos Mr Chef, I am blaming the good Dr herr Professor for the 'technical' build, once he sowed the seed it was never going to not happen!!
