2017 Armortek Tiger 1

So a few years ago I bought a 1/6 Tiger 1 from Armortek. I got it together in about 6 months time, but I haven't painted it yet. I have the motion control pack and the sound pack. I'm not real impressed with either one of the control packs. I have a 1/16 scale Mato Tiger 1 that I put the Elmod Fusion Pro in and I really like the control I have with it. Is there any way I could put an Elmod Fusion board or a Beier board in the Armortek 1/6 Tiger? The Elmod only supports 12 volts and the Beier 18 volts, but the tank requires 24 volts.

I'd recommend a quick welcome in the "Introduce youself" thead.

But heck, relatively a great start!

Apart from 'Welcome here!', I would try the Armortek forum for really deep knowledge if I were you. :-)

And yes they would also appreciate it if you properly introduce yourself. ;-)

Yes you can put a lower voltage control board in *if* you get a voltage step down circuit. There are many programable units that can step the 24Vs down to 8.4V. You can then use 24V ESCs and motors connected to 24V battery voltage. The conversion might seem kinda complicated if you've never done any of this kind of electronics work before.

I run quite a few Armortek tanks. What don't you like about the modules ?

Which motion pack do you have ? There have been three recent ones. One with four silver topped modules, one with two silver topped modules and the current red boxed ones.

Adrian.

I was thinking that there might be a way, but I need an elextronics expert to help me with this .

I have Beier-modules in both my tanks, but my 'personal technician' did that. He is active on the Armortek-forum, 'Kees van Rijswijk'. ;-)

Personally I've never heard of working Elmod boards in Armortek tanks.
