I'm moving on to the 1/6 Stuart for the remainder of this year. Before I did so, I wanted to build a model just for a models sake. I had a recently purchased AirFix Crab Sherman and I had had good results from an AirFix Churchill a couple of years back. This little kit was fiddly and a couple of the instructions were 'Hmmmm' moments but it was what I had set out for, Fun! Now back to scratching up the dough for new tracks for the Stuart! Enjoy!

Jimster, Ludwig!
Thanks for looking in, Gentlemen. Luna is always the Star of the Show! She easily eclipses my best efforts at modeling. ;o)

Painless

When Luna runs, is it just a black streak?
It's fun to just build a kit once in a while: I almost always have a static kit going, a 1/16 AFV and/or figure, or 1/48 train-related, or even 1/18 airplane. I would be tempted to replace those flails with some miniature chain. Of course, I could mess it up. :'(

Herr Doc!
You were reading my mind. I had seen a diorama video where the Builder spent time replacing the plastic chains with real chain and tiny lead weights for the flails. With no way to turn the spindle, we can assume the tank had already cleared that mine field. My spindle turns but without completely rebuilding the tank with a tiny motor\servo and belt and losing weeks in the process, my mind just said no and built the Crab as is out of the box. ( not even a tiny MG or antenna added ...or light guards tho' I saw how to do them ) I had simple fun and did not give into my Detail Devil ( for once ) I remember that Frank had built a 1/16 scale Crab that worked on here and it was _amazing_ to see in operation. It would be cool to see someone build a working one in 1/76 scale. They would have all my Kudos for doing so.

Painless

P.S. Luna's nickname is Locomotive Breath since she sounds like a train at full steam right after a run ;0)
