Davey65!
Amazing work like this makes me want to dust off the Stuart and move forward again on it. You are an inspiration!

Davey65,
I have a ways to go. Currently saving my pfennigs for a set of new tracks to match the mods I made to sprockets and idlers. The current vinyl set is too tight and does not allow for adjustment. Following along on your Build!

wow, that looks cool, i want one!!!!! i remember many years ago there was a guy in California making all metal Stuarts in 1/6 scale, i was actually on his waiting list, he had a machine shop and had produced buckets of track links and suspension parts, he also had 3 or 4 hulls made, but then all of a sudden something happened in his life and he sold everything and moved away, never knew what happened to all those components he had made, hopefully someone got them

Davey65,
I think I remember reading about that guy on one of the Large Scale Forums. I definitely would have liked to have had a set of metal tracks and suspension\running gear. My Lower would have had to be reinforced with metal to keep it from warping under the weight but it would have been worth it.

P.S. I am getting the new tracks for this tank from an Outfit called Stryker Workshop I have bought a set of replacement track rollers from him to replace my efforts with and they look great.

Feel lucky you didn't give him any money. If I recall correctly, most of those people that put money down...got screwed. Projects never finished and he didn't refund any of the money. Lots of folks were after him which is probably why he disappeared. He's been discussed on the this forum before.DAVEY65 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 05, 2023 7:58 pm wow, that looks cool, i want one!!!!! i remember many years ago there was a guy in California making all metal Stuarts in 1/6 scale, i was actually on his waiting list, he had a machine shop and had produced buckets of track links and suspension parts, he also had 3 or 4 hulls made, but then all of a sudden something happened in his life and he sold everything and moved away, never knew what happened to all those components he had made, hopefully someone got them

If your hand was not present, I would have thought it a full size.... or are you a giant?
