How to make simulated glass?

Looking for some help/advice please. What's the easiest/simplest (I am no arrtist!) way to simulate the translucent green of thick glass please? I feel a need to glaze my Challenger 2

If your going to cut windows some clear plastics,you can then tint with a light spray,do this a couple times.A fine mist is better ,make sure the can is not cold.

Spray on the inside of the window

Tamiya spray paint,or a spray gun if you have one.not to much paint at a time.a side to side movement,not aim and shoot

Tried Tamiya tranclucent green yet? ( X-25 Clear Green)

Use a flat brush. Stir well, apply thin layers after every layer is fully cured after about 2 hours.

I'm curious.
The original question was for thick glass that has a green tint.
When I was working on some of the London underground ticket offices, we fitted thick bullet proof glass in the doors, and that had a blue tint.
Therefore, do some tanks have glass that looks blue?

I had an idea of cutting up an old CD or DVD for the periscope glass. Not sure if that will look that good now.

buy a bottle of sprite (or other soda in a green bottle), drink it and use the plastic bottle as glass.....

I used thin clear plastic from a take away tub and cut and glued to the inside of the Sherman cupola.

Painted both sides with Tamiya clear blue.

I've noticed that the "clear" plastic from Chinese take away tubs is dull and Smokey/Dusty looking, surely ideal for Windows, broken or otherwise on wrecked buildings.
