Third Tank - Tamiya Abrams

So here is my third tank, a Tamiya Abrams.
Really enjoyed this build which was similar to the Leopard, in that it had fibre optics (plastic this time, not glass so easier to bend) led's and a gear box which needed to be assembled. As opposed to the Panzer which was already assembled. Also this one had a double speaker.
The Leopard and Abrams seem to be modern kits which is strange as the release date for the Panzer was between them, but was definitely more basic.
Anyhow, i did try to bring myself to rust this one up like the attached picture that was posted but i simply seem to dislike spoiling a clean model!
Is there another 'modern' kit that I can try next, becuase they all look to be basic,
