The rest of the AAF shipment arrived today. Just waiting for a couple of shipments from Forgebear and one from Mato Mart then work can get started in earnest. I'll keep the Lipos in mind, Alpha tho' I think that the heaviest 1/16 scale tank I will ever build has been done already. *chuckles* Thank you, Green Giant, I will keep that in mind also. ;o) Pictures:

Alpha,
Sorry for the lengthy reply time. Saturday was the Mate's Birthday and we spent the day away from Computers. I'm planning on using the HL mantlet for the redo instead of the Tamiya one unless modding the Tamiya mantlet to fit is ridiculously easy. ;o) I plan on shimming your barrel the same way that I did on 'In The Mood' Here is the dimension you asked for: 13mm.
regards,
Painless

Alpha,
I noted the blue text. *chuckles* Is the Tamiya mantlet ridiculously easy to fit to the Heng Long Pershing? I'm looking forward to having a proper length barrel for my tank. Thank you, my Friend.
I will follow your advice and lead.

Painless

I wouldn't know if the Tamiya is easy to fit Painless.... but usually I've found nothing is easy when it comes to the intermingling of two different brands of parts :haha:
But off hand .... I do believe the HL mantlet was easy to remove....but to replace with Tamiya? your guess is as good as mine ;)

It will be cool to see how you upgrade the HL suspension, if you go that route. I found that the lack of track tensioners on the kit
virtually made the metal tracks a waste of money at the local battle field.
