If you still have the battery in the original compartment you might have noticed the bow in the lid, what i did was cut some 1.5mm plasticard to be a tight fit in the square sections inside the lid, used a few clamps to clamp it to a straight edge and clamped each piece as i glued them, normal polystyrene glue, and started from the centre four squares working outwards

great tip, I would have done that if I had not bought the metal lower hull. any way I have sold the spare lower hull to andyd and it is enroute to him as I type this
