A couple of examples of how these vehicles were loaded up, deep in enemy territory you carry what you can ImageImageImageImage

Hey Herr Dr. Professor, you forgot the guns and ammo, plus a full fuel tank :P

You Americans and your math (lacking that all important s), if you did maths like us Brits, you would more likely have a correct outcome.
Herr Dr. Professor wrote: Mon Dec 05, 2022 7:46 pm Do I count 80 gallons? There's enough extra fuel on that desert rat to blow up the whole oasis. :O Or is that water? Let's see...
80x(8 lbs./gal. x 5 gals.)
= 80x40
= 3,200 lbs..
There's 15 fuel/water cans at 5 gal each, 15 x 5 is 75 gal.
75 gal x 8 and a third lb's (weight of water, which is heavier than petrol) is 625 lb's
:P :haha: :haha:

I can do the mathematics pretty durn good. It's just counting that gives me trouble. :/ Will, that little SAS desert rat, turned the front cans sideways, so one fewer. As Snoopy said, "Curses, foiled again!"

+ driver and gunner at 150 each

Can a 1/4 ton 4X4 carry that much? ...and not overheat in the desert?
Can Brad Pitt with one .50 cal. hold off a whole troop of Panzerjäger with a number of Panzerfäuste?
...only on the movies! :haha:

Resin body... hmm... Radio gear? hmm...
I re read this post and forgot to reply the final comment.
Yes we are trying to use our SLA resin printers to up the game and quality of our models where its practical qnd possible.
We can also contract out some of our other models for larger Industrial resin printers.
We recently got a batch of 251 halftracks done in resin.
The unfortunate side of that is cost as the price can go high quickly if contracting out, but some people want what we cannot do in house.

More new developments are looking and we are really trying to push the boundaries of what we can.
So watch this space

I reread the post and find my math to be even wackier  than SOG pointed out. I must have had my head up... never mind.

All i can say about this post is that curiousity got the better of me whilst i was enjoying a day off for fathers days yesterday
Due to the bad pollen count( i really suffer badly from hayfever) i was locked up for most of the weekend indoors, not brave enough to venture outside for fear of sneezing to death(yes very drammatic haha)

But i had a brain wave, i wonder if the 1/4 ton utility truck will be able to pull the M9 trailer and then i thought, what if the diamond t was up on the trailer aswell.
Concerns i had, does it have enough traction as its a very light model with hard tpu printed solid tyres......
But damn........ it did pull it afterall and i was very impressed.
Maybe i could get away with single motor in these little things rather than a dual motor setup afterall hahahahahaha

I wonder if I have mentioned this before, Apologies if I have,
We had a 28 tonne BLR Faun Aircraft refueler due for removal and a 1/4 ton BLR Austin Champ due to be replaced by a FFR Landie,
The champ was a runner but on treadless tyres the Faun not so,
A tow bar was attached between the bowser and the champ,
Full revs, all wheel drive selected, Clutch slowly out and the tyres tucked in the rims gripped the road,
The Faun in a cloud of black diesel smoke fired up, drove it onto the RAF Queen Mary trailer followed by the champ and JOB done.
