Boy Mcevoyi....We're dead even in the grab handle department ...but as always you got me beat at everything else ...I usually never predict....but I predict this is going to be one heck of a Tank! Excellent workmcevoyi wrote:Hi all
The engine deck is a right swine to create ...but now I've more or less done it ..I will know next time how to do it ..and be aware of the pit falls ...
sorry it's take mospre or less a week to get some more build time .,but the shots at work have been evening and tuff going ...

Re: UPDATE 30th Sept done engine sect M103A2
Hi all
Once again a busy week at work ..so progress has been slow ...
I started the turret to take a break from working on the hull ...I've used my usual method of construction
making the turret ring and then the Base the the basic turret top with are set just a few mill below th correct height ,..some can create the correct turret details to sit at the right height
there is a lot of complex shapes on the turret ...and as usual no place other than where the comanders
cupola sits is level with the ground ....mad shapes really ...
The turret sides are again made with the help of McDonald's coffee sticks ...and a few big macs along the way !

You got that right Herman...when I was a lad...we used to call it a "Monkey" Tank...because if you looked at it from above...the turret shape reminded us of that of a MonkeyHERMAN BIX wrote:That is THE most odd shaped tank I reckon Ive seen

Re: update 4 Oct M103A2 the turret begins
Hi all
Sorry it's been a little quiet in the m103 build
I got a little side tracked with the tank museum show and did some work on my T29e3 ..so I could take it along to the show
While I've done zero work on the 103 I Ave managed to sort out with Dklm Carson .a gun barrel which he did the CAD drawing's for and has now started to make for me
So I will restart the 103 thus weekend ..and I hope in a week to 10 days have a gun barrel so I need to get a move on
