Jagtiger in need of a reboot
Re: Jagtiger in need of a reboot
Hi Jofaur86,
This diagram makes a bit of sense, having looked at the connector in some detail, thanks for that. The previous owner seems to have separated the led lighting wires from the block connector plate, for some reason. When I plug in the block connector to the CB, the tank switches off, and won't start up unless I disconnect the block connector.
I think I'll need to retrace the wiring and re-solder the connector plate. Anyway, progress of a kind.

Re: Jagtiger in need of a reboot
Hi,
Progress update.
I acquired a Taigen Transmitter and that now works.
I've rewired the upper Hull connector board and the gun elevation is working.
The airsoft gun isn't firing although it's making a noise.
I can't get the lights working. When I put 3v across the circuit, it's OK, but I don't seem to be getting a steady voltage at the two pins that power the lights.
Any thoughts, guys?
Harry

Re: Jagtiger in need of a reboot
Going by your previous picture of the 10 pin board with 8 pin plug on the upper hull, its possible that the wires in your 8 pin connector wire could have been swapped around so they match up with the Bb gun and elevation
Re: Jagtiger in need of a reboot
Using the diagram, this is what is working and what is not. Not sure if I could have got the connector round the wrong way, I've been following the colours.

Re: Jagtiger in need of a reboot
hello, great, already progress ... for the headlights? attached photo with correspondence of the connections
on the 8-pin connector
Black / red = turret rotation
Blue = elevation motor
Yellow = common Elevation / airsoft shooting
Maron = firing engine
Green = + headlights
White = return headlights
Orange = Machine Gun
check that the connection is in the right direction. for soft air? it makes noise, is that all? see if the barrel is well in place, or if the grease inside has not dried, and is blocking the mechanism, sometimes happens.

Re: Jagtiger in need of a reboot
Hi Jofaur,
I've got the green, white and orange wired up as per the diagram, but no lights. There doesn't seem to be stable voltage to these pins, especially green and white. I'm going to try to get the lights working before the Airsoft. I haven't tried connecting the green and white round the other other way, would that make a difference?
Just to experiment, I connected the lights to the red and black, and they worked when I moved the joystick.

Re: Jagtiger in need of a reboot
where the brown wire is on your board should be neg - for MG
where the black wire is should be neg - for HL
the empty space next to the black wire should be pos + for both
your wires should be 3 3 2 but yours are 4 3 1 its possible that only the rotation wires have been moved and the mg and hl havent been touched the pos + for both should be on all the time so check before attaching wires

Hi John,
Really stupid question (I'm not good on electrics) - how do I determine the + and - wires?

with a measuring device!! otherwise for the diodes there is no risk, if you respect the voltage, in one direction it is busy, in the other it will not work,Hwal2605 wrote:Hi John,

Voltmètre if not, for the 8-wire cable? if you respect the colors, should there be no worries?
for information, I reconfirm,
Pin 1: red, plus turret
Pin 2: black, minus turret
Pin 3: blue, minus airsoft
Pin 4: yellow, less elevation
Pin 5: brown, plus and common
Pin 6: green, plus, common headlights and gun
Pin 7: white, minus headlights
Pin 8: orange, minus, MG led,

Re: Jagtiger in need of a reboot
Personally, I wouldn't rely on the colors of the existing wires? because nothing seems to match, moreover the switch with the two white wires, is used to start / stop the airsfot system
