Looking for honest opinions. Passable for a first time zimmerit job? Don't worry, no one nearby to see me sob.

Well thanks gents (not crying). I will continue and show my Bix/Atak inspired technique. .020/.5mm card cut to fit, can be done on or off the tank but does warp some when zimmed off the tank. Used a round tip from a Weller branding(?) kit. Sanded off the pattern from one and squared it up. Razor saw and and small triangle shaped file to make my zim pattern. Sorry Bix the screw driver and heat source was too masochistic for my taste.

The hatch is miliput.

Careful when done off the tank, the heat has nowhere to go so it cuts deeper than when glued down. Pretty easy to fix when a mistake is made. And there is a splice between the view port and lifting lug. Melted the seam on the tank.

Ok that's enough for a Sunday evening. I'll work on the hull sides and rear panel tomorrow. Notice I only did the areas that would be difficult to emboss when glued on.

And I reckon Winches and cables that function are Masochistic!!!
Great job Mr Ecam, hardest part of the melting plastic method is to keep the heat up on the material so the plastic doesn't respond like Mozzarella cheese & string everywhere.
