Well,

I have had enough and i decided to start the painting work. Here comes my hard work, because I'm a newbie painter, so be gentle, please...

priming process

first attempt with base colour dunkelgrau, XF-63

it was too dark for my taste, specially as i want to apply filters and washes, so it will become darker and darker... so i decided to repaint it, this time using 80% XF63 + 20% XF20

I didn't made pics of this stage, I'm sorry, but you can see the difference the grey tone in the next batch of pics, when I applied the dunkelgelb pattern. I've tried to replicate the known tiki scheme, but I'm not too god with the airbrush, so, not a great result: :{

as no real pics of any quality of this profile exists when you can see the back/left/top side, I've taken an 'artist license' in those areas.

now, the hard work will begin, with the weathering process... i hope thatr after this, the final look of the cat will be enhanced.

best regards

thanks Buckeye

time to paint the numerals, balkankreuz, cat name, kill rings and Wolfsangel tactic symbol. I did them with masks, the result was not too good, the balkankreuzen and the 8s specially. I hope that after the weathering, they will look better.

Next step is applying filters, I will apply two, with artists oils, one blue and one ochre...

thank you very much for your kind words, sunray

most of the 'approaches' i took, were 'borrowed' from others who walked the same path long before me, taken mainly from panzerketten, lacadenaherrumbrosa, RCU, and this same site, and my main intention posting all this stuff is that others could benefit of it, like i'm doing

hello again,

the finish of the Tiki is near 8)

this weekend I've applied oils for weathering and 'grime', and put back the tools and cables. In some of the pics i used flash, i do not like using it but it was too dark yesterday:

I think I will not do too many chipping, this tank was only 4 months old when the pics were taken... some dust, earth and mud to the road wheels, tracks and lower hull and I think it will be done!

best regards

Great work jussek! One question, where did you get your cameras?
Would you put your brain in a robot body?
