Stuart, your modular idea is allowing all sorts of possibilities by reversal and interchangeability. The exposed brick is another great touch. You aren't alone as a wierdo: about 15 years ago, I had the local coffee shop order me a whole box of stir sticks to use for modeling. They just added it to the regular order and I paid them. Having a thousand or so on hand is, well, handy--even for stirring paint.

Thanks I've got a Tarr smoker that ordered by accident. I was wondering if I could just rig that up to a 6v battery?

I've built another side. I enjoy making a juxtaposition between the war and advertising posters. Still not put any of the Nazi posters on.

Also the acetate for the windows arrived today. However I am disappointed. It's so thin and has a milky haze on it. I was thinking the windows would be a big part of this project. I also mocked it it with the sticks but they looked more like prison bars. I think I need something very thin. Image

I just cut my window frames and doors out of cardboard, and used plastic packaging for the glazing - most of it came from the plastic box/sleeve that my B&Q curtain poles came in. You can also get PETG in 1mm thick sheets on Ebay from shops like Trent Plastics, altho that probably becomes an expensive hobby buying that in A4 sheets when you have a lot of buildings?

Can you share a link for where you got your brink paper from, it does look better than the rather bland stuff I have.

Sure thing, here is the link. I thought it was a bit dear a the time of buying but it is turning out quite well.

I was planning to model a lot of broken windows and then get the drill out out for some bullet holes on the glass and walls. so it does need some decent strength
