For steering something this big you could even look at a lead screw setup with a fast gearmotor turning it. Ebay has surplus lead screws. I used a lead screw for controlling the traverse on my 1/6th scale Sturmtiger. The lead screw was out of an old printer I believe.

Elmod make a board for Taigen/Torro's M16 AA Half Track, It really is very impressive in my M16 when compared with Torro's original board.
Is there any particular reason why that cannot be used as the brains of the HT or perhaps you have something special lined up?

Thanks, i never thought of a lead screw setup, i will definitely look into it, i may experiment with all 3 methods to see how fast, how slow, or how strong they each are.

Found a pic of it...this one came with the metal mount which I cut down to fit the space. This was a completely scratch built Sturmtiger for paintball combat. Sadly it was never fully finished, but now it's just sitting in the garage gathering dust. I should rebuild the whole thing in PVC sheet like my KV-2 and get it running.

Very slow progress, i did manage to get the upper floor in, the round hole you see is for the steel tube that supports the antenna, this would have been removed for the m16b conversion
