Ps UK!
Someone send me a photo of exactly design they want. With some idea of rough size, I will draw in CAD and can then 3d print in resin a whole batch of them

Hi sorry changing my response. Hope its not too late but I just received an order from Poland and 3mm is too small for the cable tie downs:

4mm wing to wing with 1.3mm centre hub would be great. These seem to be typical 1930s design.
Thank you

Seen the delivery date? I'd kinda like to finish the model in the not too distant future. It's definitely on the slow boat from China!

I had a mate at school we used to call wing nut on account of his rather prominent ears

Hi Mate. Aber does a couple of kits with brass bolts and photo etch wing nuts that you assemble from two half's of the P.E to make the wing nut. Avoid these but they do make a kit 16105 that brass bolts and real working one piece wing nuts. Also another source that has been mentioned already is Knuper modell. They have different sizes of static wing nuts on a shaft .I used their 3.3 mm units on my Tamiya King tiger production turret build as these seemed the correct size for 1/16.regards John.

Axels has the Schumo ones in stock again or at least they did a couple of days ago when I got another dozen. Of course depending on the DHL lottery that I normally lose they could be 50 days in arriving even after paying a truly outrageous amount for shipping that first goes to Frankfurt Flughafen and is supposedly on a plane and then DHL decide to put something the size and weight of a couple of cigarette packs they charge 42 Euros for in a container on a ship to Montreal or they could come in 2 weeks. I don't blame the German retailers, Deutsche Post/DHL is a total racket out of Germany :headbang:

I have written before about Schumo's wingnuts,
Because they are pressed out the thread does not work BUT if you have a tap and die set you can chase the faux thread which changes it into a working thread although the wingnut will not work independantly it will act as a working screw.
I use them to hold down the clamps over the air cleaner pipes on the engine bay which makes opening the body easier when the clamps are eased.

While this might be more than you need there are plenty of wing nuts on this 3D printed set. I was looking for a way to semi scratch build some tow cable clamps for my 3 Tigers and I stumbled upon these. No way I was going down the Aber route to insanity trying to construct theirs. BNA has 1 set left and their shipping speed is great. Like with Forgebear in the UK I can get stuff to Canada faster from them in Oz than local suppliers in the Greater Toronto area

Thanks Panzermechanika, I wish I'd seen those before I started on the Aber stuff.
