I wont touch it!!

I have a TAM-T1 to do at some point so all this is good info for me.
:haha: LoL that's to funny Mr. Bix...I don't blame you for keeping your distance after 6 kids. Hopefully some of my info will come in handy when you get to your TAM-T1 build. I know I am always learning as well from other tankers that have awesome ideas too. I really enjoy seeing how & what other tankers are building as well.

Herr Dr. Professor wrote: Thu Mar 09, 2023 10:02 pm Welcome back! I think the word for the part you cut into a kind of chisel is the "ferrule." Whether or not I have the right word, I can see lots of uses for the home-made tool. That's the kind of ingenuity that impresses me! I'll be watching to learn.
Thank you sir, I am glad to be back. I like the word "ferrule", you used for the home made tool I use in the weld seam details. Thats what it will be called from this day forward. I Hope some of my info helps others to get over humps when they're stumped. I just wish I had more time in the day to work on my Hobby. Maybe one day, if I could ever retire... :haha:

Have a good one

Howdy Tankers
Today I decided to try on a new set of late production all metal wheels and tracks. Wow, they look cool, but boy do they ever add some weight to the model. Does anyone know if this added weight compromises the run time on the batteries?
One issue I ran into was the late model tension idler I ordered was a bit too wide and the axle was to long. It was kicking the back of my tracks out from the hull to far, so to fix it, I trimmed the axle & the idler.
Once that was done I removed a couple links from the tracks to take some of the slack out. They look good now. I have another set of wheels that are made from aluminum. I'd like to weigh both sets to see what the weight difference is. If the aluminum wheels are lighter I will prolly use them instead.
I also put together & mounted two Abber front fender latches for some added detail.

Wow. Just read this all the way through. Awesome skills and work. Looks like a Tiger may have to go on the wanted list. Behind some modern stuff that is.

Well let’s keep in mind it’s not a race!
This is a distraction from real life so they get done when they get done ;)

I reckon the longest unfinished awards is still in the hands of Mr Tank For The Memories Tiger late build !!!
Perhaps followed closely by Mr Cs Abrams being done via interstellar mind control !!

I will need to refer back to this and another old old build for when I do mine.
Just about tempted to swap it for a Taigen !
