Hi here's them pictures for you hope they are of some help
front legs.jpg
front legs 2.jpg
front legs 3.jpg
I have also taken some pic's of the rear ramp as well
rear ramps.jpg
rear ramp 2.jpg
as you can see there is just a simple screw mechanism that replaces what would be a hydraulic ram on the full size trailer but the action is just the same. The speed of the front legs can be altered by changing the ratio of the two bevel gears on the top of the screw mech.

Thank for your comments as an update the truck is still going strong after nearly 6 years now. I thinking of updating the old 27meg radio when I get time and fitting a good sound card into her when I get time. At the moment tho I trying to scratch build a Centurian Bridge layer @ 1/16 scale but are struggling to make a working bridge laying mechanism. regards Denzil

Hi thanks for the comment. The bridge layer is comming on slowly I got the lower hull nearly finnished (apart from painting) and the brigde sections boxed out just starting on the detail work. I'm still trying to work out a cheap and simple bridge laying mech. but keep comming back to electronic actautors from the states, but at £100 each I'm trying to find / build an alternative. I'm taking plenty of build pics so when its evenually finished I can post the build and finished photo's.

Hi that looks really great and I think even an idiot like mw could possibly do something about half as good at that, will go off and have a look round. Many thanks for inspiring me.
