Thanks Kaczor, I agree, the barrel is on my to do list, I have the replacement barrel ready & waiting, just need to find some time to paint/weather & fit it.

I will second that. I can build and paint 'em but getting a well weathered and worn look is outside my abilities.

If it helps, I follow the steps below for painting & weathering, I find it best not to overdo the weathering, I try to keep it fairly subtle.
Prime & Base Coat Model
Apply Decals & Clear Coat to Protect Them
Weathering Steps:
1-Modulation
2-Chipping
3-Filters
4-Pin Wash
5-Dry Brushing
6-Rust Streaks
7-Streaking Grime
8-Mud (if appropriate)
9-Dust
10-Matt Clear Varnish
