I want to try and re-create my crusader in to a 3 piece printed tank that we are all used to with the HL tanks This way it will be easier to maintain and replace parts and shapeways are the only place I can think of that can do both design and print. Do you have any experiences with their design service or is it just the print?

I have never tried SW's design service as I design all my own parts. Knowing SW's it sounds very expensive.Exhibitedbrute wrote:I want to try and re-create my crusader in to a 3 piece printed tank that we are all used to with the HL tanks This way it will be easier to maintain and replace parts and shapeways are the only place I can think of that can do both design and print. If you've got the time I think the best way to do things is to try and design stuff yourself and sell the 3d files so people can print their own parts. When I got my first printer I had no CAD experience and within a few weeks I was designing and printing an M7 Priest (HL conversion) and within a year I had a Pz I and Pz II, both completely printed.
I use OPENSCAD https://www.openscad.org/

Mr woz. Would it be at all possible to obtain just the front section of you a1 top. I have a few Sherman’s parts and fancy a stab at the hybrid firefly

Re: M3 Lee
I did the small hatch M4a1, the Hybrid Firefly used the front off the large hatch cast hull (like the one on the plastic Mato M4a1). You need to see if you can find a plastic Mato upper.Exhibitedbrute wrote:Mr woz. Would it be at all possible to obtain just the front section of you a1 top.
