Attached boom to main body
Masked off and some clear coat added to the orange
Whilst waiting between coats I cracked on with the headlights.

Update. Started on the main body.
Decided to add a fuel inlet which will actually be the smoke unit filler tube
And primer
Mean while had a little play
Then disaster :BH
One of the track drive sprockets came loose so a strip down to get to tighten up the grub screw :AR

Hi kiaser,
Yeah the grub screw was a pain, but loctite added now so fingers crossed never again.
Also done a top speed test measured it over a 10 second period and got 900mm so that worked out 90mm/s which is inline with the real thing which can do up to 100mm/s
Still need to make a cab interior.

I got to admit I never thought about the cab interior when I bought the excavator.

Slow
Done some more painting then messed up last night and used wrong grade wet & dry paper on painted parts. so need to repainted some bits now.
Although I did manage a little play time on Sunday when I took excavator and sand pit to the tank club.

Also picked up a cheap RC articulated dump truck from one of the other tank club members, so now got somewhere to place the shifted sand.

Yes I took it to Grantham tank club and showed it off, then distatorKiaser wrote:Tankbear how is the digger , you mentioned taking it to the tank meet it would be pretty if you got some pics
I like this beast you have
Burst hydraulic line just as comes off the pump.
Now changed the pipe and running well again.
And here's the dump truck
