Re: Mato Metal Tiger
Hull suspension, incorrect I believe as the swing arms need to face in different directions and of course torsion arms were used. I have a lower metal asitam with torsion suspension set into a plastic hull so I have the parts to mod this but will get the thing running and review the suspension at a later date.

Re: Mato Metal Tiger
The hole for the drive shaft was to small for the brass sprocket connector... so I cant dry fit the motor

Re: Mato Metal Tiger
So I used my trusty tapered reamer..... I lucked out, the reamer went through the hole and increased the hole size just enough. There is space for a bearing in the hull to provide additional support to the drive sprockets but at the moment I think the motor/gearbox combination will be strong enough.

Here is a closeup of the reamed hole... the motor had the side L section aluminium mounting plates removed and was put into the hull and the brass bushes added.

Re: Mato Metal Tiger
The gearbox was from Roland at the following web site.
http://www.modellspiegel.com
The price was about £170 I think with postage. Excellent quality.
Edit... I just read the forum rules and do not or am not affiliated with Roland, I hope im not breaking any forum rules.
