For those of you getting a little jaded with tigers, KT's and panthers, Panda Hobbies release of the 38T is due soon. It may only be a shelf queen but at least its different. First advert for order I've seen is on axels modellbau, 100 euro's mind....ouch.
Abo.

Re: Panzer 38T
100 bangers for a skoda ? and no engine? ermm.....! I assume it's not a bb shooter ? I'd buy a french Char before that or better still an rc bren carrier that would be sweet anyone got one ? I saw one on here earlier but can't remember if it was rc or even 1/35 scale.
But good luck on the build look forward to seeing it.

Re: Panzer 38T
I think it looks very fine. Question is will someone do some aftermarket parts so we can RC it? Obviously metal tracks would be a start. Also surely this is the start of a series -a Hetzer would be the obvious next choice. Now that would be wondrous indeed..!

Re: Panzer 38T
Thanks to Blimp for pointing this out on another thread: an R/C upgrade for the Panda 38t:
http://35rctank.com/index.html
The website is a little confusing (everything else seems to be 1/35) but it's obviously for the 1/16 model.
I said elsewhere that a Hetzer would be the next move and I notice that Blue Star have just announced a re-launch of their resin 1/16 Hetzer so at least a working model is now coming closer to being a reality!

Re: Panzer 38T
Its nice to see that the Hetzer is getting closer...but the gearboxes supplied to RC the chassis look a bit 'light-weight' ...the pinion gear drives a gear that looks to be made of pressed metal so I am not sure of the systems overall strength ? A few reports on the gearbox would be nice......
Many years ago ( as a child ) I had a 'tethered' RC tank with a similar gearbox and a identically shaped 'pressed steel gear' was driven by a brass gear that it soon cut right through...
