muzzle flash and rx18 help needed asap

ive just got a heng long muzzle flash, i want to fit it to the new rx18 i have also just brought, question is how do i get it to flash when i press the k button? also can any show me a picture of the rx18 and let me know what plugs in and where,

There is only one way to plug the HL muzzle flash into an RX18.

You pull out the two pin plug at the top, plug in the 5 pin, and then plug the loose two pin into the muzzle flash two pin (brown/yellow I think).

There was a thread on this but I cannot find it???

cheers guys, the problem ive got it my tiger has no gun recoil fitted or ir, its the gun flash i got from you keith, i cant find where the yellow and brom wires connect to anything else?

Hi Trev, odds are if you have no recoil or IR you are missing some wires necessary to make this work, without them i dont know if you can do it another way i'll get some pics tomorrow of the wires i mean and you can have a look.

By closing the 'Brown Yellow" wires from harness plugged into HL board , you will complete the FLASH/SOUND/MOTOR MOVEMENT. This is usually done by microswitch on recoil unit. You can test it by jumping the plug with a small piece of wire.

Of course , you don;t want all that action when you are trying to steady an IR LED at opponent. I use combination of motor recoil eliminator (Welsh Dragon) and left upstick mod to get it all to go off at same time. However, I have not tested my IR system...

yep ive got the flash working now by jumping the wires, but it looks like il have to buy a recoil system, has anyone got anything for my tiger they want to sell, i have £50 ready to spend , il have to go elmod some time too i guess, whats with the crap sounds from the rx18s now? they sound very tinny

Hey Boxerdog,I have these they may be some use at some point.And the mod xrad mentioned is on rccommands site,I have airsoft with recoil but it combines recoil,tank recoil,and gun firing all with left up stick.I/R should work like that as well but I don't have I/r at this point.Hope these are useful.
