All I've done here is re-possition the antenna to the correct possition.
Using a 1mm bit, drill from the top of the hull. Place the original antenna through, remove the antenna peg and replace it on the antenna. Then using miliput, pack out from the bottom around the housing. Finally fill in the old hole with left over miliput.
The antenna cable can still be disconected if you want to remove the top half.
It will cut your turret traverse by a tiny amount, but in my view the realistick look out weighs this.

IF moving to the correct placement, what should the proper scale length be? Currently it would be a 17 foot whip (13" x16 scale). The shortening should be added in wire inside the hull to keep the bandwidth.
