Aero-Mate Tiger 1 and Metal Origin Puma, and 251 from 35tank

Post by velthal »

Hello, everyone! At the moment I'm doing several projects at once. Most of the time - waiting for parts and trying to find a solution to some problems.
I decided not to open several topics at once, because I won't write much and not very often :)

At the moment, most of the tank is already assembled and I'm waiting for some parts to continue. And while I'm waiting, I had an idea to detail the interior of the engine compartment. Now I am working on motorising the coolers and thinking about 2 mini smoke machines based on these coolers.

do you think it's possible to make a smoke machine out of these parts? (ps. it is not aero-mate on picture)

Sure it is possible but will it be easy? If you can get the fan(s) to pump air then all you need would be a well with a hot wick/wire. The well should be somewhat ducted to the fan and vented for fresh aur so the wire doesn't overheat. Will you be hiding batteries in the fuel tanks? A cheap smoker from one of these tanks should provide the parts you'll need. Depending on how large it is that fan from the video might be hidden below the fans on the tank.

I think I'm not going to hide the batteries, I'm going to power them from the control board.
About the fans, do you mean leave them as decorative and hide the turbine inside?

ps: how to hide pictures under spoiler?

Yes, if there is room below and between the model's fan and radiator assembly I would try and keep it hidden. Heng Long's newest smoke assembly is some what small and could provide parts. That fan you have would work and could be cut down as needed to fit.

I had two solutions:
to disassemble the vipe or to seal the plastic container with foil and insert a wire in there

about ready-made smoke machines - there was an idea to put one in place of the engine and cover it with a decorative engine cover on top.

i like idea with an additional hidden turbine

I'd hate to destroy that great looking Maybach engine, but perhaps a smoke unit or part of one could be fit inside. You might be able to take the oil pan off and use the majority of the engine for a cover. The fan and radiator assemblies look like they have similar space compared to the engine (from the angles you have shown).

I was thinking of not breaking this engine down, but making a mould of the top half and moulding it out of plastic.
However, in place of the motor I want to install a speaker for the time being.

If anyone (besides me) is unfamiliar with the Aero-Mate Tiger I, check out http://www.aero-mate.com/Tiger1.htm and the main page, http://www.aero-mate.com/ Wow! I am impressed, too, by interior detail you see here..!
