Zis-150- Hansi

Heng Long/WPL are now manufacturing 1/16 scale RC trucks, so it seemed sensible to create a forum area dedicated to the amazing things that members are doing with them. Post your builds, mods, and tips here.

After a long build, it is ready! This might be one of the most complex builds I have done so far. Two speed gearbox, plenty of lights, plenty of sounds, vibration and even a water pump. Info here as always:

So that’s an absolute joy to see and hear! One of the funnest creations I’ve seen come from your secret lab.

Thank you! It is also a joy to drive with that two-speed gearbox. That made me realize I forgot to put the running video in my website, but here it is!

Minute 1:40 is worth to mention, I LOVE how it vibrates. Yes, too much for being realistic, buuuuuuut I love it!

Very cool. Actually don't think the vibration is too much.

New video in a trucker meeting. The bridge is worth to be seen, more than 10 meters of concrete!

Rad! Good Afternoon!
This excellent Truck makes me realize how much I need to add sound to mine. The Truck driving area is astounding. More concrete!

Rad I love what you have done with the truck  although it shows the difference between driving a car or truck with sticks and driving a Tank with sticks and demonstrates why you need to be able to sit down and instead of sticks a wheel gives more accuracy,
I think I am about to upset someone :haha:

Painless wolf: Sure thing you need lights and sound! A toy without them is like... food without salt, a shower without warm water, a radio without programming capabilities, a woman without breasts... I guess you get what I mean, lol.

Jarndice: Glad you like the truck :) But about controlling it, every toy I have, no matter if it is tank, car, truck, aircraft, boat or moving part in the scenary, is controlled with only one radio, the same as always. https://radindustries.wordpress.com/202 ... /my-radio/ One rules all. Everything obeys to just one, lol.

I found you get MUCH better control if you have throttle in one stick and steering in the other. Having both in the same stick as Heng Long does, for me is a no go.

Rad!
Lights, I have ( just do not turn them on during the day...I should do a night driving video on my International Harvester ). I have two speeds on the motor as well and aftermarket board and controller. I will have to install a sound card and speaker somewhere. This is the same truck that you did the excellent stencils for. ( Speaking of which, It is time to talk to you about the special Jadgpanther stencils I will need for the current Build ...Grab you soon in PM )
regards,
Painless
