Hi guys,
I took a break from the Hybrid Panther and figures and decided to try out a 3D model.
So I bought an 1/16 RSO to see what I could make from it.
Here are a few parts:
The seller advised to use 3D XTC to get rid of the printing lines:
It worked great, just a little sanding and it looks great!
Have a look at the cabin:
In the last 2 photo's you can see that the loading platform is too long, and too small, so I build a new one:
By the way, the cabin looks pretty okay, when compared against an 1/16 drawing:
Unfortunately the whole track assembly is too long, and too high:
It is too difficult for me to change or improve that, so I have to live with thatI did open up the inner track parts which looks way better.:
On the left side of the tracklink you see the opened up part, pn the right it is still closed!
So, I hope you like the project so far.
I really like playing around with it.
With regards,
Rob from Holland

Now that's a real nice project, love the canvas! It's a pity it's only a static model but then if there is a suitable, modifiable chassis out there then all that could change. Nice work though

That's coming along great Rob, it's a quirky little vehicle but there's just something about it I built an rc one a little while ago using some bits from the vandra kit, it's not 100% accurate or finished but it'll do for me

Re: 1/16 3D RSO (static)
Hello everybody,
I did some work on the RSO:
The loading platform is done, only a final dark yellow followed by camouflage collors.
The cabin got a driver, and I am awaiting some 3D figures which one will go in the cabin as well, and a few others will go in the back.
Next was the Pak 40, which will be towed by the RSO.
It is a Scale-Line offering. It needed a lot of work, but I am happy with the result.
This needs also a final coat of Dark yellow and a camouflage color.
And this is how it looks now, again a pretty big combination!
The gun is loosely attached on the carriage.
With regards,
Rob from Holland

Hi guys,
The RSO is finished, and I like the result.
And in combination with a Pak40:
So, I liked my first 3D project, and I am already thinking about a Sd.Kfz 250!

It's a unique model that can fit in among the RC AFVs, etc. I really like it! (And I am going to see about that XTC 3D product, too.)

I have some resin left from doing hull pours so I may try it on the IS-7 wheels to see if it works to fill in some of the 3D print lines. I've been staring at the XTC 3D on Amazon also...Herr Dr. Professor wrote:It's a unique model that can fit in among the RC AFVs, etc. I really like it!
