Hi. I'm new here.
I have a HL Tiger 1 that I have just fitted with an Elmod Fusion Pro. I had an old 6ch Turnigy TGY-i6 that I set up and the tank worked brilliantly.
I have now purchased a Turnigy 9x. I plugged it in and my tank had a fit, spinning in circles and the turret spinning. Quite obviously I need to program the TX. Only thing is, I have no idea what settings to apply.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

The 9X was a great base back in the day... which came with an horrible software which makes it almost unusable. If you want to squeeze the juice of it, you have to flash er9x software on it.
All the mixes I programmed are in the following video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uIXmAXhVXZM
But of course you need to flash the radio first. For doing it, there are some tutorials in youtube and you will need some hardware. Option B is I can flash it for you.

Re: Turnigy 9x with Elmod Fusion Pro
Thanks for your reply Rad.
I've looked on the net regarding flashing to er9x. It looks like hardware and software required.
Would it be better to buy a transmitter that doesn't need flashing to run an RC tank? Could you recommend a transmitter?
Also off topic. I love your Elmod panzer commander user sounds. Is there any chance I could get them from you.
Thanks

Best transmitter, price-quality is the Radiomaster TX16 as today. But that 9x is very capable of handling the elmod (and almost anything else) like I show in my video just flashing the software.
About the sounds I have, I am afraid those are not mine. I extracted them from games and I cannot distribute them for copyright reasons. I had some problems in the past.

Thanks Rad.
Can you please send the link to your flashing with er9x.
I think maybe I'll save up for a Radiomaster TX16 as well.
Cheers

I don't have a link for that anymore, I just have been doing it for years a lot of radios.
Here you can have an idea of what I did in my particular 9x.

But anyway, save for the TX16, but just dont throw away the 9x. Once flashed is an excelent side radio.

Thanks Rad.
I'll keep using my Turnigy TGY-i6 for now. Only 6 channels but super easy setup and does most Elmod functions.
I'll save up for the Radiomaster.
Rad, you are a wealth of good information and much appreciated.
Cheers

Re: Turnigy 9x with Elmod Fusion Pro
I've used a 9x for years with my ElMod boards and as Rad said it's a great radio. It does take some fiddling to set it up but it's only a bit of soldering and you will be away. I am certainly not an expert when it comes to soldering or working with electronics but I managed to add a flash port, a LiFe battery, and a backlit LED screen without too much hassle so I would encourage you to give it a go as you will learn a lot. This should get you on the right track: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7sdB1wb6NIM
I often look at fancy new radios with envy but realistically the 9x will do everything you need for RC tanks so I won't be upgrading until it dies.

Thanks B_man.
The YouTube looks very interesting. I may give it a go when I feel confident enough.
