Fountain
Fountain
Hi,
we have started a new season here, in the open air tank museum in Banská Bystrica, Slovakia.
Our battlefield is still growing. There is still a lot of things to do.
This time, we have tested my 3D printed fountain in 1/16.
Upper part of fountain is printed from ASA and contain 5-7 parts (i dont remember this exactly)
and this green part is printed from PET(G) and contain 3,5l of water (123,2 fl oz).
There is a cheap water pump from ebay for cca 5€.
Working great, now we need to build a garden around the fountain.
I will post some photos with garden around (next time).

That's pretty cool sadly water doesn't scale down.

Re: Fountain
Very interesting! We need more things like that in the forum.
Can you share what did you use for the pump?

Re: Fountain
Thank You, both.
Son of a gun-ner - I did not notice this before. Now i see this.Yes.Drops of the water are giant .
I have to talk with one friend, wich is a chemist.Maybe i can resolve this.
Maybe its a question of surface of the fountain. We will see, right after i meet this smart man.
Rad_Schuhart - i have used this one.12V water pump with little LiPO 2S battery.It cost about 5€.
Even with low voltage is too strong, so i have drilled one 3mm hole into the hose to reduce flow rate.

Re: Fountain
Sorry, didn't mean to make it disappoint, it's still a very cool project.

Looks really good, and you've given me some ideas. I wonder how the solar panel from one or two of those sidewalk lights would work with this. Then you'd have a cool fountain that runs for free!
Are you planning to share the stl files so the rest of us can flagrantly copy all your brilliant work?

Re: Fountain
If you can up the pressure & drop the flow rate you'll get the smaller droplets, trick will be to get them to come down in the fountain. Adding soap will reduce the surface tension, but you'll end up with a foam bath too....

Re: Fountain
yes.alcohol.this was my first idea.
but i need a 3,5l of the alcohol, and in windy wheather i need to refill this every hour, so alcohol can become expensive.
i dont have idea about the sharing of the STLs right now, but i can share this later.probably.

Re: Fountain
Yes, it would be expensive, especially as it will evaporate
