1/35 Tamiya Tiger
1/35 Tamiya Tiger
Apologies if in the wrong place!
Had this lying around and unloved for ages so decided to bring it up date with some more modern electronics/radio.
It has a fly sky 6 channel radio with all the mixing done in the rx 2 cheapo escs from eBay all the servos and red gears are from rapid electronics.
Also added an elevation servo which uses the gears from the original traverse gear box.
The painting and weathering are not my best but I'm on the look out for a cheap donar kit to replace most of the upper hull and turret .

Re: 1/35 Tamiya Tiger
Good morning, Ferny
I have one of these Tamiyas from way back. The only mods I have performed were a metal barrel, tow shackles, grill guards and some new tracks ( when the old ones lost flexibility ) I have considered upgrading the electronics to add elevation. Your turret mod to do so is very simple and elegant. This tank receives attention sporadically, usually only when I am at odds and ends for something to do. For the parts you are looking for, have you considered buying the Tamiya Early Tiger kit. ( non motorized ) They can be found on EBay and almost anywhere Tamiya kits are sold. Prices run from 20 - 28.99 in US dollars. You would have an entire tank's worth of spares then.
regards,
Painless

Thanks Painless
That's my plan along with some photo etch and some metal tracks as and when funds allow

Really impressive work Ferny, it's amazing seeing everything squeezed in to such a small space.
