That's my plan, the yellowing that the use of Matte Varnish and Dullcoat caused could not be fixed without stripping. Also when my computer crashed in March I lost the Picture of the Jagdpanther I was copying.

This time no mixing Techniques, I'm sticking to what worked on my Tiger, since I use Testors Model Master Enamels and being oil based I think that not using the floor polish as the only sealer and then using my proven Chalk Pastels for shadowing was a mistake big time.

Also the pattern mistakes have to be corrected, it's a big job being only my second tank painted, I must stay disciplined,stick to the proven method. But for the next two days I'm back on the King Tiger paintball system as the last pneumatic part arrived Friday.Wish me luck, this is the finale piece. Blake

So stupid, the pictures were in my old software right here in the manage attachment files. Remember this lesson guy's because of the software here on the forum my pictures are still available. Also it helped me find the Photo bucket album where these pictures were stored, my lazy method of saving pictures (1500) in many different files caused this in the first place.

Made some progress on the Jagdpanther this week, I think the best thing to do is everything, weld seams and all hatches open for starters. Here are a few pictures,I still intend to go with the 4-color camo scheme and the Night Fighter site, well guy's I hope I get it right this time. sax

Frank Thank you, I could not remember where to find this build thread. I saved the lids from the Humbrol paint tins I used on my opening hatches on my Tiger for this very purpose. Really grateful for the link. Now to build the engine.

cheers Blake

I have managed to complete the weld seams and get a coat of primer on the Jagdpanther. This is Rust-oleum "rusty metal primer" and seems to work well,covers good and dries fast on top but takes a good hour in the sun to "STIFFEN"and become solid. Next the base coat of ?

Xrad, Truthfully you gave me the idea, I was walking through Walmart with my son and there it was so I decided to give it a try, and it is a fraction of the cost of Tamiya primer.

A little more detailing,removed and painted storage boxes and exhaust system from back plate, Plate was primed as were the small parts. Reattached the three hull racks, not sure about the cleaning rod tube or the exhaust conversion to the spark arrestor type.My unit is Fuhrer Grenadier Division(Which was a paper division of the last few months of the war) they did in fact receive (8) units as some had allocated (14) but several individual Jagdpanther's were given to different units leaving a total of (8) according to the link below. It'a funny about the German record keeping being so well documented so late in the war. http://panther1944.de/en/jgpz-jagdpanth ... ml?start=1" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
