Thank you gentlemen....Sorry about not having Kei in the Sherman... but at the moment she has a full torso...and the Sherman won't accept that...once her jacket is finished... the lower torso will be removed and she will be velcroed into the Sherman :D

Thanks again for the kind words :D

I've never seen anybody scratchbuild a headset in 1/16th scale before. Very creative!

Alpha,
I requested more pictures over in the 'LOL" thread and here they are! I like it when good things show up so fast. As I noted, _beautiful_ work. That old Sherman has never looked so good as when graced by a beautiful, anime Blonde. Sassgrunt spoke about the headset and rightly so. I have not seen it done before either. The ready made ones from HL that come with the newer German figures are not in the same league. ;o)
regards,
Painless

Hi MIke...Out of necessity came invention :haha: ....kind of lol  Those diodes were staring at me... "saying use us use us" couldn't figure out what for ... till I saw the two wires protruding...kept staring at them...then thought how they looked like headphone caps 8O

Lucky I still had those motors I stripped to make the tow cables for the Kv2...as I could use just about all the soldered on bits that adorned them...thinking now though... I need to write sony on the sides :haha:

Hey Painless... those HL headsets are pretty nice... couldn't find the spares I had... so it left me with a dilemma :haha: ...going even further to say .. I'm not sure I would have used them if I did find them.. as they are German Headsets... Judging from photos from the anime... they are way different than the ones Kei used

I was then going to use some brass stock and plastic to make them...but the lazy kicked in...saying there has to be a better way  ... :haha: ...once I got the concept ...things seem to flow... the hardest part being spreading the plastic insulator taken from the stripped wire....so the leads of the diodes could be inserted...did get a few jabs in ye ol' thumb and finger but it was worth it I think :haha:

The "O" rings were and afterthought...as at first I was going to use some plastic from a helicopter battery door the area that has the mounting screws were perfect in diameter...and were recessed so had a "donut " look to them...but after messing with one side... found the plastic wasn't very friendly ...thought about using different plastic to make the donuts ...but once again the lazy kicked in...final thought and solution being the "O" rings

I'm not sure how they would look on a normal figure... but in this case they worked out fine :D

Thanks again for the kind words Painless

For anyone that is trying to find a Forces of Valor metal upper hull like Alpha used in his build, there is a guy parting one out on Evilbay.
