Chipping

Post by Ardennen »

Hi all :D

I show you today like I completely simply my vehicles with damages of lacquer make...

1. Sponge Method

For this one takes a simple rinses swam and tears themselves a small piece off (o, 5 cm). Here I have one from the hospital for mouth cleaning... I mix 80% black and 20% dark-brown. That swam on a sheet paper well express so that only completely few color remains; then on the desired places easily up-dab :geek:

The result:

2. Brush Method

I paint light scratches with a brighter color like the first color. I use a brush 5/00 or 10/00. (Always considers, where you will make the scratches)

To simulate deep scratches I paint into the center of the scratches with a mixture of black and dark-brown...

I combine both methods that look better O.O

If everything is finished, I makes a wash with a MIG filter and some fading 8-)

Ready :D

Hi, looks brilliant, I will be trying that soon! One question, you say at the end you faded the paint/effects, how do you do this?
I am quite new to model painting and would love to know how to fade paint well.
Cheers,
Dave
