Subtitles kinda suck, but the tanks are interesting, seem mainly fibreglass or composite construction. Like the Tiger paint scheme.
check out the gearbox,http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=pl ... gV0#t=293s

Re: Russian made 1/6 scale
The R/C tanks shown there are made in Russia by Alex Shlakther. He died a while ago but the new owner provides the distributors like Mark 1 and Big tanks (not our company !) in Germany with those tanks. They are known to have quality and detail issues that need to be taken care of either by the buyer or by the distributor directly.
But no model is perfect !

Thanks Hans,Hope your feeling better. I saw this the other night,I posted the gear box clip because the guy shows this nice machined assembly just before he takes a hammer to the bearing, but a steel hammer not a dead blow mallet which seems odd.
The paintwork was interesting as well, have you any experience with the gearbox?

These larger scales have always interested me. May be one day...

I saved and purchased my Viper Tiger I which was a static display model, then in shipping it was destroyed, two years to gather the parts to go RC and repair the damage.
Even that effort was expensive and I still need the control system. The F.O.A.Line is a good way to get into 1/6th scale. Perhaps that opportunity may become possible for you? I certainly think Hans is trying to bring affordable large scale to more people.

Re: Russian made 1/6 scale
I do not personally have experience with the gear box.
But I do have extensive picture archive of the "quality" of those tanks that I can post here if so requested. This might help you to determine if this is the kind of quality a potential customer would like .
My flu is still lingering with me but am feeling better slowly.

Re: Russian made 1/6 scale
Hans,I am ill also, and several other members so we will suffer together. I was simply curious, the tanks you offer and the variety seems to cover the best the Market has to offer. But the gearbox seems unique to the Russian tanks?
I've asked others here to post their drive train yet the chain driven,or direct drive seem the only ones in use.Do you have pictures of the MARK1 drive system, just the mechanical components?
I have wheelchair right and left angle drive to install,it is a little higher ration than I would like but they were reasonable in price and a solid mount which works well for my component plate design.
Still I would like to see what others have done?
