That was filmed at the Panzer Museum in Munster.
I was there at a show in May this year and had a great time with the guys in that video.

A great shame to see that tank blow up but a great bit of video.

I guess it also goes to highlight the dangers of 'hobby' explosives.

Hey Horses... my guess would be the batteries ;) .....probably 19v Lipos
Can't imagine anyone doing that on purpose ...unless for a movie or something ;)

If it had been in England the Health and Safety Police would have been round cordoning it off so the public could look from 3 miles away and everyone would have to wear goggles and have proof of insurance (although I bet that guy wishes he had fully comp insurance on his Tiger) I don't think there Public liability will pay out for repairs
I'm manning the gun's ! Who's driving ?

From what I have read on the forums the tank did not use LiPo batteries but the concensus is all the blank rounds somehow went off all at the same time

Lipos burn but tend not to explode like that.

Hi all.

I think that tank was running 24v batteries when i saw it a few weeks ago in Munster.

Quite a few of the RAG boys use pyros in their tanks, and my guess is that it was one of those that caused the detonation. Hope to hear more soon.

Damned shame tho, as it WAS a very nice Tiger and the owner must be well pi**ed.

Most of the RAG team wear black overalls as a 'uniform' and they do look pretty smart.

They are also a VERY well organised team running regular demos in Germany at the Panzer Museum in 1/16, 1/10, 1/6 and 1/4 RC tanks on their permanant display ground.
