How to remove the HL-Tiger wheels

Post by birger »

Hi guys,

how can we remove the wheels?

Step 1: Remove the Tiger tracks

Now check, which version of wheels you have.

There are two possible versions:

1. Version: Plugged wheels

2. Version: Screwed wheels

Let’s remove the plugged wheels first.

1. Version: Plugged wheels

As you can see on the pictures, the first wheel overlaps the driving wheel. Remember that for reassembling.

First you have to remove the outer wheels. Just pull them of carefully.

Same procedure with the second line.

Now lay the hull on its back. Let’s take a look onto the wheels from the bottom.

Now you can pull the axis carefully out of the radial arm. While pulling, push down the wheel to avoid the arm from breaking.

Same procedure for the inner wheels.

After removing the wheels, it looks like this.

Reassembling works the other way round.

Just consider that the radial arms are now in basic position.

To reassemble you need to rotate them against their spring motion until they fit with the feed hole of the axis.

Then push the axis through the wheel until its body stop.

2. Version: Screwed wheels

Screw of the screw until you can remove the complete wheel.

Remove screw from the wheel. Then you can disassemble the wheels.

Reassembling works the other way round.

Just consider that the radial arms are now in basic position.

To reassemble you need to rotate them against their spring motion until they fit with the feed hole of the axis.

Then screw the wheels to the radial arm till body stop.

Just make sure, that the wheels work easily after screwing.

Otherwise just unscrew a little bit.
